It often happens that people who are given a golden handshake have been working in their company for many years and had never been obligated to search for anything else. They do not know the techniques or tools used to survive on the job market and they have not been to a job interview in years. Although they do not notice it at first, they need a guide, somebody who could show them the way and help reach their goal. The average time of this process tends to be 6 months, although depending on the sector and the candidate´s profile it might be extended even up to a year.

Video résumé – (not such) a good idea?

Video résumé, also called Visumé or Video CV is a short video in which the jobseeker presents his/her professional profile. It is best to publish it in Internet (YouTube, Google Video etc.) where it can be easily found by companies and headhunters. It does not replace the usual written CV, though. It can only function as an additional tool in the whole selection process.
